Majestic Solar

Panels have a working life of 25 to 30 years. The UK’s first large-scale installations went up in the early 2010s – so the first significant wave of decommissioning arrives this decade, and grows every year after.

Beneath the glass and aluminium frame sit silver conductors, high-purity silicon and copper wiring. The difficulty is separation: panels are laminated composites built to survive three decades of weather. Handled poorly, the glass is downcycled and the valuable fraction is lost.

Majestic recovers silver, silicon, copper and aluminium from end-of-life photovoltaic installations, as part of a critical materials recovery business handling tens of thousands of tonnes annually.

Solar sits alongside our electronics, automotive and battery streams — which matters. A dedicated panel recycler depends on one immature volume stream; we can absorb solar’s growth curve while it builds, backed by refinery partnerships that give recovered material a verified route into global supply chains. Our licensed Wrexham facility, commissioned in 2026, provides UK upgrading capability and the blueprint to add capacity as volumes rise.

Partner with us

For solar developers, asset owners, EPC contractors, O&M providers and local authorities.

Decommissioning without the disposal problem. Panels leave site into a licensed, documented recovery route rather than a skip.

Full chain of custody. Permits, shipment notification and Basel procedure are standing infrastructure here – with the documentation your sustainability and governance reporting requires.

Repowering support. Sites replacing early-generation panels with higher-output modules can offset project cost against the value recovered from what comes down.

One partner across streams. Solar farms also retire inverters, cabling, transformers and battery storage. All of it can move through a single specialist.

A long-term counterparty. We are a listed company (AQSE: MCJ, OTCQB: MCJCF) building for 100,000 tonnes annually by 2030 – here for the volumes arriving in ten and twenty years, not just today’s.
