Technician

Telecycle Europe Limited, a specialist in e-waste and metals recycling (including catalytic converters, telecom equipment, and printed circuit boards), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Majestic Corporation Plc, and is on the lookout for a proactive, hands-on Technician to join the team at this brand-new site. You’ll be directly involved in building and running operations from day one in a dynamic, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary focus — Operate heavy facility machinery (including shredders, loaders, sorting systems, and downstream equipment) to process and sort materials efficiently and safely.

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic repairs on production equipment to minimise downtime.

  • Support shredding processes and downstream equipment upkeep.

  • Being involved in all yard duties, including loading/unloading, material movement, sorting, and general site maintenance.

  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any issues promptly.

  • Carry out welding, fabrication, or minor modifications as required.

  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.

  • Take proactive initiative to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute ideas for process improvements.

  • Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards in a recycling environment.

  • Other duties as required to support the team.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proactive, physically fit, and comfortable with demanding hands-on work in an industrial setting, including outdoor tasks in varying weather.

  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery (e.g., loaders, forklifts, shredders, or similar), with knowledge of shredding processes and downstream maintenance.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Welding and fabrication experience.

  • Proficient with hand tools and basic repair techniques.

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively, with good communication and a sharp eye for detail.

  • Reliable, safety-focused, quick to learn, and committed to maintaining a steady, productive pace.

  • Relevant technical qualification preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Valid driver’s licence.
